Christopher Schwarz, the author of the new book Handplane Essentials, takes a deep dive into the details of the nine most essential planes of the craft: the jack, jointer, smoother, fillister, plow, shoulder, router, scraper, and block planes. Each plane has its own personality and is sharpened, set up, and used differently. In this two-day class, you'll learn to master these tools so you can use them with complete confidence in your shop at home or work. If you are ready to stop sanding and start getting wicked-tight joinery, this is the class for you. Note that you don't need all nine planes above to take this class.
