Marc Adams School of Woodworking 2018 Testimonials

2018 Intern Michael Rothrock

“I did get the chance to visit a place that I hold very close to my heart and that is the Marc Adams School of Woodworking”

It doesn’t hurt that it has some of the greatest woodworkers in the world teaching there, a top notch staff that I cannot begin to say enough about, and there is just something about all the students that are there that just make you happy. All in all it was a great week and I made yet another round of good woodworking friends that I am sure I will be in contact with in the future.

“Hey Marc, I just finished this for St Teresa’s Catholic Church in Chicago. I built the arch and the nealers. I just wanted to show you and thank you for where I am today. I could not have done this without you and your school.”

THANK YOU!!!

“First, I would like to say how impressed I am with the way the school itself is run. Everyone, whether faculty, staff, volunteers or students, had a great attitude. Such an atmosphere makes learning fun. You’ve done an impressive job there… The ice cream is a big plus, too!

“I want to thank you for the opportunity that I had as an Intern. I was able to take seven week long classes and five weekend classes. Those classes have provided me with important information and techniques to enhance my skills. I hope to be able to implement everything I have learned in my future projects.”

Thanks a million and forever.”

{

John Mills, WI

“I’m writing to tell you what a great learning experience the class and this project has been for me. I think of this as my first serious piece of furniture…. The class drew on skills learned in previous classes I’d taken at MASW, particularly the hand joinery class with Marc, the finishing class with Mitch Kohanek and a small cabinet class I’d taken with Mike Pekovich. I’ve got a lot more to learn, but this has been a milestone for me.”

{

Nate Murphy, IN

“Thank you all so much for giving me the opportunity to spend my summer at the school. Your teamwork inspires me and your constant pursuit of excellence in everything that you do motivates and pushed me to keep improving. Look forward to next year!”

{

Greg Znajda, IL

“You have definitely changed many lives both directly and indirectly. My life in particular. I am quite grateful and fortunate to have found you through the “Woodworking” shows and took a chance at taking a class at your school that year. My life has changed for the better because of your school.”

{

Jean Marmoreo, Ontario, Canada

“It is always a remarkable five days – an adult camper’s paradise of learning, observing and generally being gob-smacked by what creative talent there is in the middle of a corn field. Thank you, thank you, thank you – both!”

{

Jeff Stein, KY

“I recently completed the Federal Bow Front Sideboard course taught by Jeff Headley and Steve Hamilton. The instruction was superb. The instructors’ patience was inexhaustible. Their sense of humor was boundless. If you were forced to choose one pair of instructors from this year’s instructors to represent your school, these two craftsmen would be your only choice.”

{

Bob Yorburg, NY

“I had an absolute blast last week. As promised, the students were incredible. All of the equipment was in nice shape. Each person was more fascinating than the next. A good time for all and I believe that everyone walked away with many new skills under their belts.”

{

Billy McClain, NC

“Your school is food for my soul! It helps me grow as a person, a father and as a builder. I truly do not think you know how you and all of your staff make such a difference in so many of our lives. I am truly GRATEFUL for you, your family and all your staff. You have changed my life for the better and are still doing that.”

{

Scott Severns, NJ

“It is my absolute JOY to have completed my Masters at the incredible MASW… and set my sights on the Fellowship. I will be a student of yours for the rest of my life. I am honored and proud to call MASW the place that I study my craft.”

{

Rich DelCore, SC

“I really meant what I said today, you are the visionary, the leader, the one setting the standards and the craftsman that I look up to when I attend your school…. I have told you many times, you have a ‘gift’ for leadership, a ‘gift’ for teaching adults and patience that I can only aspire to…. I feel honored to have been a part of your program, am very proud that I was able to accomplish the Masters…. God bless you Marc Adams!”
