About This Workshop
When you build a 12-inch-long model of an 18th-century longboat, you are connecting yourself with all of history. In this class, students will start with a kit that looks like little more than strips of wood and sheets of thin plywood. Utilizing some easy-to-learn basics, participants will come out of this five-day class with not only an actual model, but armed with the skills to tackle large and more difficult models. With Daryl’s experience, having built many of these, he will direct students on future, more advanced, projects.
