About this instructor
Greer Ashman is an Oakland, California based glass artist and conservator. Her studio, Ceniza Glass Studio, specializes in the conservation and creation of stained and leaded glass. Greer received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, and subsequently pursued stained glass, attending the University of York’s MA in Stained Glass Conservation and Heritage Management. As a freelancer, Greer has worked on a number of monumental projects, including the conservation of the 13th century UNESCO listed Naumburg Cathedral choir windows in Germany. Greer’s conservation background has given her insight into historical stained glass methodology, which enriches the breadth of her own creative practice. Her new work comprises primarily residential commissions, integrating both contemporary and historical elements.
